Freewriting is instinctive and uncensored. It's not about getting it "right"—it's about getting it out. It increases the flow of ideas and reduces the chance that you'll accidentally censor a good idea.
A little background: Freewriting as a technique was brought into the spotlight by Peter Elbow in the early 70s. He described it as writing without stopping, in full sentences or fragments, without editing or judging what comes out.
This section is where you write to meet yourself. It may surprise you. It might take you off course or reveal a brand new one. It’s creative and grounding all at once.
Write quickly, without rushing. Ten minutes is enough to begin with. No grammar checks, no expectations.
